1. What we collect

To run FirstPing we store a display name, a chosen avatar, gender, and your current mood and status. We store the messages you send so conversations can be delivered and displayed. We also rely on Supabase for basic auth and session data (such as your account ID and sign-in method).

2. What we don't collect

FirstPing does not ask for your real name. There are no photo uploads — avatars are picked from a preset list. Identity on FirstPing is intentionally light.

3. Guest data

If you use FirstPing as a guest, your session is anonymous and temporary. When you log out or your session ends, your guest profile is deleted. Messages you sent stay visible in the other person's conversation, but they're anonymized — shown as coming from a guest who has left, no longer linked to any profile of yours.

4. How data is used

Your profile and messages are used only to run FirstPing — showing who's online, delivering chats, and enforcing moderation (like muting or banning accounts that break the rules). We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Hosting

FirstPing is built on Supabase, which hosts our database, authentication, and real-time messaging infrastructure, and Vercel, which hosts the web app. Both act as data processors on our behalf.
